Contact Gary »Email »Phone (231) 824-9419	Township Supervisor Background: I grew up in Lansing, Michigan and joined the Navy after high school. I retired from the Navy in 1998. I was elected to the County Commission in 1999 and served three terms on the board. In 2004 I served as the Chairman of the Board. I was elected Cedar Creek Township Supervisor in November 2004. I have four children, with two still at home both of which attend Manton Schools. I am an active volunteer at the school, and coach summer baseball. I am also a member of the Manton Rotary Club. My love for this community is deep. We live in a beautiful area and are lucky to have many talented, caring and wonderful people as our fellow residents. I consider myself to be a public servant, it is my role to serve you. I would just like to thank you for the opportunity. Please contact me at the township office or at my home if there is a question I can answer for you.	Township Supervisor Duties: Cedar Creek Township government operates under specific state statues. The township supervisor has duties and responsibilities listed under those statues. Generally speaking, the supervisor represents the township at state, county, and local levels. The supervisor moderates township board meetings and is generally responsible for managing the township affairs and contracts. The supervisor is secretary to the Board of Review, serves as the township legal agent and appoints some commission members. The supervisor also develops the township budget, and has oversight responsibilities for the fire department, building department, zoning and ordinance enforcement, cemetary, and general operational matters.
