The Cedar Creek Township Fire Department is a Volunteer Department in a rural setting. We are a township that primarily surrounds the city of Manton. Our department provides fire protection in our own coverage area for a population of about 1500 people, in a 36 square mile area. We also have mutual aid agreements with other surrounding areas, as well as the City of Manton.
We provide vehicle extrication to three other townships, and to the city. Our department responds to about 75 calls per year. We also assist the EMS department as needed since most of our personal are to the MFR or EMT-B level. Our firefighters are not paid. We currently have a roster of about 20 members. Our department meets at least once a month for training and a business meeting. |
